No one was scheduled to visit you Friday.” “…I’m not certain what you mean, Nanjo-san. “Is that necessary since you sent someone over on Friday? Someone who had appalling behavior?” Kojiro wasn’t going to get over the woman’s attitude anytime soon. I wanted to make an appointment with our follow-up visit for next month.” He turned the stove to a lower degree and walked quickly up to his room. He was more than content to watch them, but his phone started to buzz. Langa silently cheered, while Reki and Miya helped Takashi with the game. He didn’t, of course, but one day Kojiro hoped to see more than his limited range of neutral expressions and terrified panic. Takashi looked like he could’ve scowled at him. “…I just need to let things simmer, so continue on,” Kojiro responded with a grin. He glanced over to him as Reki reset the game. Classic! You’re not an old man, no matter how old fashioned your favorite activities are, so you’re learning!” “Oh, yes you do!” Reki countered as he shot up. You completely suck,” Miya grumbled out into a pillow. Kojiro looked up from cooking dinner to see the S kids laying down on the ground, while his own held the controller and looked mildly confused at the ‘game over’ screen. The last thing he wanted to do was force the kid into more uncomfortable situations, no matter how much of it was for the sake of his mental health. But he couldn’t force the kid, so small, period encouragement was the best he could do. Having around eight different guardians in a period of ten years and then his most paternal and caring ones dying so abruptly… Takashi needed to talk to someone. He hadn’t mentioned talking to the guidance counselor at all and, while Kojiro had expected this, he was hoping that he’d talk to someone about what had happened. His emotional and mental health… that was different. At this rate, he’d see a doctor in another few weeks and then he’d have a proper baseline for Takashi’s physical health. And he indicated he was okay with going to the dentist in a week or two, which made Kojiro almost want to jump for joy. Kid had a clean bill of health where his eyes were concerned. No indication of him needing glasses or contacts and no floaters found. Takashi’s optometrist appointment went very well. For a Monday, it had actually been pretty damn good day.
